Order of Christian Initiation for Adults
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process of learning about the Catholic faith and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. It is intended for adults who are interested in becoming Catholic, adults who have been baptized in another Christian tradition and would like to learn more about the Catholic Church, and baptized Catholics who have not yet received the Sacraments of Confirmation or Holy Communion.
Whether you are simply curious about the Catholic faith, returning to the Church after time away, or considering becoming Catholic, you are warmly invited to join us. The OCIA team at Saint Joseph and Saint Catherine is committed to accompanying participants with prayer, encouragement, and thoughtful discussion as they explore the teachings, traditions, and sacramental life of the Church.

"Simply put, studying the teachings of the church confirmed in my mind what my heart was already telling me. That One, True Church founded by God incarnate was indeed, The Holy Catholic Church. Since then, my prayer life has been rich and spiritually fulfilling, and I look forward to growing in faith a little more every day."
—Issac R.
"I waited far too long to begin this process. For many years I created reasons in my mind for putting it off. I told myself I was too busy, too nervous, or not confident enough in my understanding of the faith. ...Now that I have gone through the experience, I would encourage anyone who is considering this journey to step into it fully. The people who guide you are patient, welcoming, and genuinely committed to meeting you exactly where you are. "
—Zach K.
